Setup Email in Outlook for Windows (Version included with Windows 11 onwards) - replacement for Windows Mail

From April 2023, Outlook for Windows has been in development. This is the replacement for Windows Mail. Attached below are the steps required to setup email in this new version of Outlook that will appear in Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines as well as future releases of Windows.

  1. In Outlook, open the File Menu, then click Add Account.
  2. Enter your email address, click on Advanced Options, and Let me setup my account manually.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Select POP or IMAP.
  5. Enter your Password and click Connect.
  6. If you get a popup asking you to enter your password, click Cancel.
  7. Click Change Account Settings.
  8. Enter the following server information:
    • Incoming Server: yourdomain.com.au
    • Incoming Port: 993
    • Incoming Encryption method: SSL/TLS
    • Outgoing Server: yourdomain.com.au
    • Outgoing Port: 465
    • Outgoing Encryption method: SSL/TLS
  9. Click Next.
  10. Uncheck both boxes then click Done.
